5 Commissioning
5.1 General
Only trained technicians should perform the following when commissioning:
• Check for correct mounting location.
• Check for correct connection.
• Install the Sensors if not already installed ex works.
• Check connector for correct engagement (SC2).
• Check power voltage (MC2).
• Calibrate (if necessary).
Within the first weeks after commissioning, there may be a deviation in the sensor behaviour.
5.2 Required Instruments for commissioning (calibration)
• Service-Tool STL06 or
• Software PCE06 incl. PCE06-Tool
• For MC2 in addition to tool or software: Adapter STA06_MC2
• Alternative for MC2: STL06-MC2-A1 Tool
• Calibration:
o Zero calibration: Test gas bottle with synthetic air (21 % O
2,
79 % N
2
) or clean ambient
air
o Zero calibration for carbon dioxide / oxygen: Test gas cylinder with pure nitrogen 5.0
o Gain calibration: Test gas bottle with target gas concentration in the range 30–90 % of
the measuring range. The rest is synthetic air.
o Gain calibration for semiconductor sensors: The concentration of the test gas must be
50 % of the measuring range. The rest is synthetic air.
o Extraction set consisting of gas pressure regulator and flow controller
o Calibration adapter with tube: Type C2-Z4 (type CAL01-PX2 for stainless steel housing)
o Calibration adapter with tube for IR sensors (not for Premium IR): Type C2-Z6
