Why does my Nabco Controller-powered door keep recycling?
    • J
      Jason GuerreroAug 7, 2025
If the Nabco Controller-powered door recycles on its own, it may be due to obstructions preventing it from closing, such as tight weather stripping, binding rollers or guides, or debris in the floor track. Remove any obstructions. Also, header-mounted sensors might be incorrectly adjusted and detecting the door panel or other moving objects, causing it to reopen. Try re-adjusting the motion sensors. Another cause may be crosstalk between adjacent sensors, causing sensor ghosting. In this case, set different frequency modes for each sensor. The U30 Microprocessor Control indicates the count for each recycle on the Handy Terminal.

What to do if the Nabco U30 Controller slide door does not open?
    • R
      Rodney StevensonAug 11, 2025
If the Nabco Controller-powered slide door does not open, begin by checking the sensor wiring and activation sensors, observing the LED indicators (61, 6B, 62) to see if they light up upon activation. You can simulate an activation signal by shorting out terminals 2 (Red) and 3 (Black). Also, measure the voltage between terminals 2 (Red) and 10 (Blue). With the rocker switch in the ON position and sidelites closed, the voltage should be 0 VDC. If the voltage is 12 VDC, the panic breakout circuit is open. Inspect the Blue wire to find where the circuit is open. The LED indicator (BA) may help.

How to fix trouble detected by U30 Microprocessor Control in Nabco Controller?
    • L
      Larry WilsonAug 16, 2025
If the U30 Microprocessor Control detects trouble with the Nabco Controller, connect the Handy Terminal to view error messages, and then clear and repair the issues. Check the wiring connections and activation devices, using the LED indicators to help locate the cause. Ensure that there is 120 VAC to the power supply and 20 VAC to the U30 Microprocessor Control. If the issue persists, consider changing the U30 Microprocessor Control or the motor.

What to do if Message Display does not move from 'GYRO TECH HANDY TERMINAL' on Nabco U30 Controller?
    • J
      James LeeAug 20, 2025
If the message display on your Nabco Controller does not move from 'GYRO TECH HANDY TERMINAL', make sure the rocker switch is set to the ON position. Also, measure the voltage between terminals 2 (Red) and 10 (Blue). For normal operation, with the rocker switch in the ON position and sidelites closed, the voltage should equal 0 VDC. If voltage is 12 VDC, the panic breakout circuit is open. Check the Blue wire and determine where the circuit is open. LED indicator (BA) may help. Another solution is to install jumpers in all exposed blue wire connectors.

Why Handy Terminal buttons or Message Display do not work on Nabco Controller?
    • R
      Richard LaneAug 25, 2025
If the Handy Terminal buttons or message display on your Nabco Controller do not work, it could be because the Handy Terminal is too cold. Bring the Handy Terminal up to room temperature. The Hand Terminal or cable may also be defective. Try using it on another door to determine the defective component. Finally, the cable from the U30 Microprocessor Control to the terminal port could be defective; in this case, replace the cable.

What happens after a Power Failure with Nabco U30?
    • R
      Robert ReyesAug 29, 2025
A power failure lasting less than one second will not affect the operation of the Nabco Controller. However, a power failure of one second or more will cause the U30 Microprocessor Control to fully brake the door. Once power is restored, the U30 Microprocessor Control will operate again, and the settings for the slide door operation will remain in effect.
