Battery Backup Chapter 5 System Power Supply
Battery Backup
For customers requiring battery backup, short-term and/or long-term options are
available.
Short-term Option Two 3.4AH batteries are required per PIM, and installed inside each PIM. Backup
time is approximately 30 minutes when PHS is not accommodated and approximately
ten minutes when PHS is accommodated in the system.
Long-term Option Two 24AH batteries are required per each two PIMs, and installed inside the Battery
Module in each stack. Backup time is approximately three hours when PHS is not
accommodated and approximately two hours when PHS is accommodated in the
system.
The batteries vary depending on the requested backup time.
The battery is provided locally.
