The contractually agreed warranty does not relieve the owner of the
machine/plant of the need and obligation to conduct regular preventive
maintenance from the date of commissioning onwards.
Malfunctions due to insufficient or incorrect maintenance will give rise to high
costs and long downtimes during which the machine/plant is not operational.
This chapter only describes the work to be undertaken within the framework of
normal maintenance or when replacing worn parts.
The maintenance work is described in sufficient detail to be carried out by
trained personnel, familiar with such maintenance work.
The following checklists for maintenance have been drawn up for normal
operation of the machine/plant. The recommended intervals are merely
guideline values; they refer to the time after commissioning and are stated in
operating hours. Depending on actual operating conditions, the intervals
required for maintenance may differ from those recommended. You should
therefore define your own maintenance requirements.
In order to avoid extended downtimes, we recommend that the most important
wear and spare parts be kept in stock at all times.
