To enable the syslog function and specify the syslog server:
1.
Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi Pro network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
If your browser does not display a login window but displays a security warning and
does not let you proceed, see What to do if you get a browser security warning on
page 30.
3. Enter the admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you set the first time that you
logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select Advanced > Administration > Logs.
The Logs page displays.

At the bottom of the page, in the Syslog Server section, select the Enable Syslog
radio button.
The Syslog fields become available.
6.
Specify the IP address and port number for the syslog server:
•
Syslog Server IP Address: Enter the IP address of the syslog server on your
network.
•
Syslog Port: Enter the port number through with the router can reach the syslog
server. By default, the port number is 514.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved. The router send its logs to the syslog server.
Traffic meter
You can enable traffic metering to monitor the volume of Internet traffic that passes
through the router’s WAN (Internet) port. With the traffic meter utility, you can set limits
for traffic volume, set a monthly limit, and get a live udate of traffic usage.
