soft key to return to the single display.
d. Press the
LDD ON
key to turn the laser output on, if it is not on
already. If a laser on delay has been set, wait that amount of time to
allow the laser output to engage.
e. Go to the calibration display by first pressing the
MENU
button, then
the
Config
soft key, then the
Cal
soft key, then the channel to be
calibrated. At the calibration screen, press the
Vf
soft key. Follow the
on-screen instructions to complete the calibration. The calibration can
be terminated without affecting the stored constants if the
Term
soft
key is pressed at any point prior to completing the calibration.
7.2.8 Remote Operation Laser Voltage Measurement Calibration
a. With the output off, connect a calibrated voltmeter, in parallel a load
resistor, as selected Table 10, to the laser output terminals.
b. Select the channel via the
LAS:CHAN
command. Set the voltage limit
to full scale via the
LAS:LIM:LDV
command, and the current set
point necessary to read approximately 80% of full scale voltage. For
example, with a 6560A module, with a resistance of 1 , set the current
to 4,800 mA. Place the unit into constant current mode via the
LAS:MODE:LDI
command.
c. Enter the
LAS:OUTPUT ON
command to turn the laser output on.
d. Enter the laser voltage calibration mode by issuing the
LAS:CAL:LDV
command.
e.
Input the actual (measured) laser voltage (as an <nrf value>) via the
LAS:LDV <nrf value>
command.
The 6000 will be ready to receive the value when, after a
LAS:CAL:LDV?
query is sent, the response from the 6000 is "1".
f. Once the actual voltage value is entered via the
LAS:LDV
command,
the 6000 will apply a new current equal to approximately one-fourth (
¼
)
the previous set point.
The 6000 will be ready to receive the second voltage value when, after
a
LAS:CAL:LDV?
query is sent, the response from the 6000 is "1".
g. Input the second actual (measured) voltage as in Step e.
