Shooting Features
Flash Mode
The flash mode can be set according to shooting conditions.
1 Move the K (flash pop-up) control to
raise the built-in flash.
When the built-in flash is lowered, flash operation
is disabled and S is displayed.
Make sure that the built-in flash is lowered when
using a Speedlight.
See “Speedlights (External Flash Units)” (A211) for
more information.
2 Press the multi selector H (m).
3 Select the desired flash mode (A56)
and press the k button.
If the setting is not applied by pressing the
k button, the selection will be canceled.
B The Flash-ready Indicator
While the built-in flash is charging, q flashes. The camera
cannot shoot images.
If charging is complete, q is displayed steadily when you
press the shutter-release button halfway.
