Playback Options: The Playback Menu

Delete selected pictures or all pictures.

Delete all pictures.
~ Notes on Deletion
• Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered. Transfer important images to a computer before
deletion.
• Pictures marked with the @iiu icon are protected and cannot be deleted.
On Protect
Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion (Selecting Multiple Pictures ~
~ 116).
Note, however, that formatting the camera's internal memory or the memory card
will permanently erase protected files
(~ 131).
Protected pictures are recognized by the @uu icon (~ 7) in full-frame playback
mode and the erase selected images screen, and by the' icon (~ 51) in four-
picture or nine-picture
thumbnail playback mode.
~ Hide Image
Use this setting to hide pictures during playback.
See "Selecting Multiple Pictures" (~ 116) for more information on using this
function.
Hidden pictures cannot be deleted using the [Delete] option. Note, however,
that
formatting the internal memory or memory card (~ 131) will delete hidden
pictures.
