(1) Vertical tube adapter
A photo adapter is attached as a standard accessory for
photomicrographic equipment. To use this adapter, insert it
into the vertical tube of the eyepiece tube and fix it with
three screws on the vertical tube.
If you wish to use a TV camera, you must attach an
optional TV adapter into the vertical tube.
(2) Disabling the Clicking of the Optical Path Selector Lever on the T Eyepiece Tube
and the F Eyepiece Tube
There is a "NO CLICK" switch on the eyepiece tube mount
part. When this switch is slid in the direction of the arrow,
the clicking of the optical path selector lever is disabled.
So, if you need to eliminate slight vibrations resulting from
the clicking action, slide this switch with a narrow piece of
metal such as the hexagonal screwdriver provided.

Diopter Adjustment
Diopter adjustment compensates for differences in visual acuity between the right and left eyes,
improving binocular observation. It's hard to adjust the diopters with the standard procedure because
of the sliding nosepiece. So, adjust the diopters as described below.
1
Turn the diopter adjustment rings on both eyepieces to align their engraved lines with the
edges of the outer tubes of the eyepieces. (They are the standard positions for the diopter
rings.)

2
Place the low magnification objective into the optical path. Observe the specimen with both
eyes and focus on the specimen surface by using the focus knob.
3
Observe the specimen with your right eye only and focus on the specimen surface by using
the diopter adjustment ring.
Do the same for your left eye.
* When an eyepiece with a reticle for photomicrography is used, adjust the diopters as described below.
1
djust the diopter adjustment ring to the standard position. And place the low magnification
objective into the optical path.
