Misuse of the product, although it does not cause a malfunction, may adversely affect performance. If any of
the following troubles come, be sure to check the following table for possible causes before requesting
service.
If the troubles cannot be resolved by taking the following measures, contact your nearest Nikon
representative.
Troubleshooting on Image Viewing
Trouble Cause Countermeasure
The product is not installed properly.

The optical path selector lever on the
eyepiece tube is located in an
intermediate position.

The nosepiece is not rotated to the
clickstop position. (For triple nosepiece)
Rotate the nosepiece to the clickstop
position and move the objective into

Dirt or dust is attached to the lens
(objective and eyepiece) or the

The opening size of the aperture

The field of view is vignetted,
