Mounting hoses to the outdoor unit
You can mount hoses to the outdoor unit in different ways. Your decision will depend on the available space, and whether you want to
be able to access the outdoor unit from the bottom or from the back.
1a. The primary means of access to the AIR outdoor unit
is from the bottom.
Place the outdoor unit on a stand so it is raised above
foundation level. This leaves room for you to run the
hoses underneath the outdoor unit. Remember to use
vibration absorbers.
1b. Remove the doors at the front of the outdoor unit.
This gives you easy access to the hoses and the electron-
ics.
In order to detach the front doors, please consult the sec-
tion, "Detaching front doors from the AIR outdoor unit".
2a. If using the primary means of access is not an option,
you can access the hoses and the electronics from the
rear side.
Remove the metal piece that has been punched out at the
back of the outdoor unit, and run the hoses through the
opening.
2b. In order to gain maximum space for the installation
work, you can detach both the front doors and the metal
plate on the left side of the outdoor unit.
In order to detach the front doors, please consult the sec-
tion, "Detaching front doors from the AIR outdoor unit".
When removing the metal plate at the side, please start
by unscrewing the screws at the bottom of the plate.
2c. Remove the metal plate on the side by tilting it out at
the bottom and then pulling the plate downwards.
2d. From here you will have access to the hoses and the
electronics.
