When the baery charger is plugged in, the machine will display the type of baery charge prole in use as well as charg-
ing progress. SC750 and SC800 models use the LCD display to describe the charging prole in words, and a baery icon
with 0 to 5 bars, to show the charging progress. SC750 ST and SC 800ST models use the Red, Yellow and Green baery
indicators to show charging progress and one of the other indicators to idenfy which charging prole is being used.

On machines with the oponal on-board baery charger, the baery charger and on-board communicate with one an-
other on the WHT/BLU wire that runs between them. (This same circuit is also used for the brush head actuator posion
2 switch input) Each me the baery charger is plugged in, the charger contacts the controller by sending out a posive
voltage on the communicaon wire to nd out what kind of baeries are on the machine. It needs to know this in order
to use the correct charging prole. The controller responds and provides the baery type informaon it has stored in
memory. The charger then tells the controller which charging prole it will use and begins charging the baeries. See the
Control System, Program Opons secon for informaon on how to tell the controller what kind of baeries are used in
the machine. If the charger is unable to communicate with the controller it will use the prole for a wet baery at a 25
Amp rate as a default.
