12. Adjusting the tones
Within the Tones menu you can adjust
the phone tones.
See also ‘Setting the phone tones for
different environments’ on page 27.
To access this menu: When the display is clear, press (Menu),
scroll to Tones, and press (Select).
See page 28 for general information on the menu functions.
Incoming call alert (Menu 9-1)
You can select how the phone notifies you of an incoming call.
Available options are: Ringing, Ascending, Ring once, Beep once,
Off.
Note: When the tones are set to Off, no phone tones are
heard, the indicator is displayed, and the ‘Automatic
answer’ function does not work.
Ringing tone (Menu 9-2)
You can select which ringing tone is heard when you receive a call.

Received tone is the tone that you have received from some other
phone.
Own tone is the tone that you have created by using the Composer
function (Menu 9-3).
Each phone line can have its own ringing tone. See also ‘Phone line
in use’ on page 51.
