Sending DTMF tones and requests

to the network

Sending DTMF tones

The phone can send DTMF tones to communicate with answering

machines, computerised telephony services etc.

Make a call in the normal way. Press and then (Options),

and select Send DTMF. Key in the DTMF string or recall it from

Phone book, and press (OK).

Sending a request to the network

You can send requests, e.g. activation commands of different

functions, to your service provider.

Start a call in the normal way. Key in the desired characters. Press

for # and for *. Press (Options), and select Send.

Press (Send) to send the message.

Changing the Nokia Xpress-on™

covers

• Before changing the covers, always switch off and disconnect

the phone from the charger or any other device.

• Always store the phone with the covers attached.

• Read carefully the instructions in the ‘Care and maintenance’

section.
