WCDMA TX PA Bias Current Tuning

In this tuning the power supply to the phone must be set to 3.8V.

• Calibration is started from the Phoenix menu:

Tunings/WCDMA/TX PA bias tuning

• Press “Start” .

• After pressing the “OK” button record the lowest current consumption of the

phone. Increase the PA Bias DAC value with the arrow buttons until the tuned

current has increased by the 25mA target.

• Press “Finish”, and save the tuning value for PA bias.

The tuning value sets the IPA1 current output from UEM that determines the bias current

of the second stage of the WCDMA PA.
