Lubrication and Maintenance - Grader Components
Radiator Coolant - Check
Check coolant level with engine cold.
1. Open access cover
(1) on top of engine cover.
2. Turn radiator cap
(2) slowly to remove any remaining
pressure in the system and remove. Check level
visually. Coolant level should be even with the bottom
of the fill tube.
NOTICE: Use a 50:50 mix of high quality antifreeze and
clean water for maximum coolant performance.
3. Install and tighten radiator cap.
Cooling Fan - Check
Check for damage to fan. Check the fan to make sure it is
securely mounted. Tighten the bolts, if necessary.
Hot fluid under pressure can scald. Allow engine to cool before opening radiator
cap. Check the coolant level when the engine is stopped and cool.
Coolant should be kept off skin. Follow instructions on coolant filter and
antifreeze container.
