Smart Gun Disassembly
See Figure 10-1.
1. Remove all airlines connected to the smart gun pneumatic connections, so not to
damage their connections.
2. Remove at head cap screws (1) securing each nozzle retainer (2) to the nozzle block
(20).
CAUTION:  The nozzle (4) and sealing O-ring (3) can fall from the nozzle block (20)
when not retained by the nozzle retainer (2).
3. Remove all the at head cap screws (1), nozzle retainers (2), nozzles (4), and nozzle
sealing O-rings (3) from the nozzle block (20).
4. Remove the socket head cap screws (5) securing the nozzle block (20) to the
extension tube (6). Remove the nozzle block (20) from the extension tube (6).
5. Remove the ow tube assemblies (19) from the nozzle block (20).
NOTE:  The ow tube assemblies (19) could be connected to the extension tube (6)
instead of the nozzle block (20).
6. Remove check valve assemblies (18) from the extension tube (6).
7. Remove socket head cap screws (17) securing the extension tube (6) to the valve
manifold assembly (15). Remove the extension tube (6) from the valve manifold
assembly (15).
8. Remove the ow tube assemblies (16) from the extension tube (6).
NOTE:  The ow tube assemblies (16) could be connected to the valve manifold
assembly (15) instead of the extension tube (6).
9. Remove the socket head cap screws (15) securing the valve manifold assembly (15)
to the smart gun base (12). Remove the valve manifold assembly (15) from the smart
gun base (12).
CAUTION:  The valve manifold assembly should be removed as gently as possible to
avoid damage to the valve cartridge assemblies.
10. Remove ow tubes (9) and valve cartridge assemblies (10) from the valve manifold
assembly (15).
NOTE:  At this time, all ush plugs (8) can be removed as well, if necessary. The ow
tube (9) and valve cartridge assemblies (10) may remain connected to the smart gun
base (12) valve ports instead of the valve manifold assembly (15).
11. All the smart gun base (12) plugs (13, 11) and ttings (14) can be removed from the
smart gun base (12) at this time.
