Cable Types
Video: high-quality 75 ohm cable used with molded male
BNC locking connectors (you may need a BNC to RCA
adaptor to connect to your video sources)
VGA (data) cable: high-quality 75 ohm five-conductor, all
five individually shielded, with overall outer shield, with
molded high density 15-pin VGA connectors on both ends
IR repeater cable: two-conductor cable terminated with an
RJ-45 male (see page 34) at one end and stick-on IR LED at
the other end that attaches to audio/video equipment to be
remotely controlled
Wiring Installation
high quality cables have been used in all applications
all cables have drip/service loops
all cables are secured, and not pinched
all connectors are securely locked in as appropriate (screws,
twist-in jack, snap-in)
all cable runs are shorter than 50 feet, unless additional
video or data amplifiers used
all unused connectors are capped
