5 Operation of BMH Series
5 – 1 Connecting and Disconnecting the Attachment
CAUTION
● Be sure to slide the Safety Lock on the Hand Switch of the Motor to the OFF position when connecting and disconnecting the
Attachment (when using the Motor with Hand Switch).
● Refer to the Operation Manual of the Motor.
● Remove the Cutting Accessory before connecting and disconnecting the Attachment to prevent personal injury.
● After connecting the Attachment, make sure that it is correctly connected to the Motor.
_ Connecting

Insert the Attachment Ⓐ straight into the Motor Ⓑ.

Rotate the Attachment Ⓐ so that the Alignment Pin Ⓒ and Alignment Hole Ⓓ matches, then push the Attachment in until it clicks to
connect firmly. (There are 4 Alignment Holes.)

Tighten the Removal Ring of the Attachment Ⓔ manually in the direction of Ⓖ to fix it firmly.
_ Disconnecting
Loosen the Removal Ring Ⓔ in the direction of Ⓕ and pull the Attachment Ⓐ straight out from the Motor Ⓑ.
5 – 2 Mounting and Removing the Cutting Accessories (Optional)
WARNING
● Be sure to use a NSK recommended Cutting Accessory or Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade for each Attachment (see "3 – 3 Part
Names and Specifications").
When using an unrecommended product, it cannot be firmly fixed. This may lead to the product coming off during the surgical
operation.
● DO NOT rotate the Attachment if the chuck of the Attachment is open. Doing so may cause thermal injury and/or damage to the
product due to heat generation of the Attachment.
CAUTION
● After mounting the Cutting Accessory or Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade, pull it lightly to confirm that Cutting Accessory or
Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade is securely connected to the Attachment.
● Before use, confirm that the Cutting Accessory or Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade does not come off by operating the
Attachment.
● DO NOT operate the Attachment when the Cutting Accessory or Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade is not mounted.
● Before mounting or removing the Cutting Accessory or Adaptor for Oscillating Intra Oral Blade, be sure to stop the Attachment
completely.
● Mount the Cutting Accessory to the Attachment after mounting the Irrigation Nozzle.
● Be sure to use the NSK-specified Irrigation Nozzle (see "3 – 3 Part Names and Specifications").
