Troubleshooting
Symptoms Causes/Points of checking Countermeasures
Heat generation during operation.
The Twist Collet or Latch is in ' OPEN ' 
(Chuck Open position).
After inserting the Cutting Accessory, fasten 
the Twist Collet or slide the Latch (Chuck Close 
position).
The ' ▶ ' mark of the Attachment and 
' ● ' mark of the Motor are not aligned.
Align the ' ▶ ' mark of the Attachment and the 
' ● ' mark of the Motor, then push the 
Attachment in until it clicks to connect firmly.
Continuous use over a long period.
Stop using the Attachment and the Motor 
immediately. Wait until the Attachment and 
Motor cool down before using the Attachment 
and Motor again.
The Cutting Accessory mounted has been 
deformed.
Replace the Cutting Accessory with a new one.
The blade part of the Cutting Accessory 
mounted has worn out.
 ● The bearing has overheated.
 ● Foreign materials inside.
 ● The bearing has worn out.
Contact your Authorized NSK Dealer.
Abnormal vibration and noise. Cutting 
Accessory center run-out.
The Cutting Accessory mounted has been 
deformed.
Replace the Cutting Accessory with a new one.
 ● The bearing has overheated.
 ● Foreign materials inside.
 ● The bearing has worn out.
Contact your Authorized NSK Dealer.The Cutting Accessory cannot be removed 
when operating the Twist Collet, Latch, 
Removal Lever or Release Button.
The Chuck has been damaged.
Incorrect Cutting Accessory is mounted.
The Cutting Accessory mounted has been 
deformed.
The Attachment cannot be removed from 
the Motor.
Connection part has been deformed.
The Attachment is not removed the 
correctly.
Remove the Attachment correctly (see "4 – 1 
Connecting and Disconnecting the 
Attachment").
