If the scanner has been exposed to rain or water.

If the scanner does not operate normally when operating instructions are followed
then adjust only those controls covered by the instructions in this manual. Improper
adjustment of controls other than those mentioned in this manual may result in per-
manent damage and will at best require extensive work by a qualified technician to
restore this product to its normal operation.
