10. Connect the ribbon cable to the appropriate connector on the electronic
board. Push the ribbon cable until it is firmly in place. Lock the connector
by moving the tabs to the center of the connector until they click into place.
Make sure that the ribbon cable is away from the valves and is not pressed
against the OIM gas flow module.
11. Attach the labels provided to the label tag on the OIM gas flow module.
Place the labels over the appropriate existing labels: AIR 1 over AIR, AIR 2
over MAKEUP, and H

over H

12. Slide the needle valve assembly into the slot adjacent to the OIM gas flow
module (see Figure 4.9).
13. Connect the combustor (COMB) line (labeled “C” on the gas outlet block)
into the bottom fitting/ferrule on the needle valve. Tighten the fitting.
14. Attach the needle valve bracket to the GC using the screws (Part #252585)
provided in the detector gas kit.
15. Cut the nylon tyraps holding the Q/qy" stainless steel gas lines from the PFPD
together. Do not remove the nylon tags designating the COMB and WALL
gas lines. Unroll the gas lines without kinking them.
16. Connect the COMB gas line from the base of the PFPD to the union fitting
on the side of the needle valve labeled COMB. Connect the WALL gas line
from the base of the PFPD to the union fitting on the gas outlet block
assembly labeled WALL. Make sure that the gas lines are pushed into the
union fitting as far as they will go before tightening the nuts onto the union
fitting. Securely tighten the nuts using a T/qy" wrench.
