40 Preparing and maintaining the equipment
Before you are going to conduct a new measurement or to continue a previously interrupted
measurement you have to make sure that all your equipment is intact and ready to use. Check all cables
and connectors for possible damages, recharge all batteries and take care you have enough spare
batteries if necessary. Also ensure that no parts are missing before going to your scan field. Keep your
equipment always clean and dry.
6.1 Preparing the Controller
6.1.1 Placing and charging the batteries
Place 8 AA batteries into the Controller's battery compartments. Please pay attention to the right
polarity of the batteries. The correct polarity is indicated inside of each compartment.
If you have already placed batteries into the compartments and want to recharge it using the supplied
charger, ensure that you are only using boost, quick or fast chargeable NiMh batteries or primary cells
with a minimum capacity of 2000 mAh or higher.
Danger of Explosion !!!
Never recharge alkali, zinc carbon or lithium batteries / primary cells.
