1.4 - COMPONENTS DESCRIPTION
2 - INSTALLATION
2.1 - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To obtain the best results and optimum performance follow the instructions in this manual. Failure to
follow the instructions may cause malfunction of the appliance and relieves the manufacturer, OLIMPIA
SPLENDID, of any form of liability for damages to persons, animals or property.
The electrical system must comply with all national and/or local codes and reg-
ulations. In addition, the specication and requirements in the technical sheet
must be followed. This includes a proper ground.
2.2 - SIZE AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SPACE IN WHICH THE UNIT WILL BE
INSTALLED
Before selecting an air conditioner or heat pump it is essential to make an accurate calculation of the
heat load, including sensible and latent gains for cooling mode and for heat pumps the sensible loss for
heating mode. OLIMPIA SPLENDID strongly encourages design practitioners to follow local and national
codes for the unit location. We also recommend you apply the guidelines found in ACCA’s Manual J for
residential load calculations and Manual S for proper equipment selection. Other ACCA manuals may
be relevant to your application depending on the construction type of the structure.
