3 - USE AND MAINTENANCE
3.1 - WARNINGS ABOUT EQUIPMENT USE
The installation and electrical connection of the unit should be carried out by certied electrician.
The installation instructions are contained in the appropriate section of this manual.
No structural object (furniture, curtains, plants, leaves, blinds, etc.) should ever
obstruct the normal airow from either the internal or external grilles.
• Never lean or, worse yet, sit on the unit as this could cause serious damage to the external parts.
• Do not move the supply air ap by hand. Always use the remote control to adjust the position
of the ap.
• If the unit leaks water, turn it off immediately and disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet.
Contact a local service technician.
• When the unit is in heating mode, it may go into defrost mode to melt any ice that could have
formed on the condenser coil. While it is doing this, the machine keeps running but does not
heat the space. The defrost mode lasts for 3 to 10 minutes.
• Clean the air lter regularly, as described in the paragraph (2.6.1).
The unit must not be installed in rooms where explosive gases may be present
or where there are conditions of heat and humidity beyond the maximum limits
indicated in the installation manual.
3.2 - DESCRIPTION OF THE WARNING PANEL
• G Receiver for the remote control’s communication signal. For proper operation this area requires a direct
line of sight to the remote control.
• LED D Green LED the unit is running. When the unit is in standby this light is off.
• LED C Yellow LED the unit is on or off.
• LED B Green LED the compressor is on.
• LED ARedLEDtheairltermayrequirecleaning.
• H Service micro-button (RESET). Used with a small pointed object, such as a paperclip to perform reset
functions.
