Using the Fiery ES
This chapter describes how to use the Fiery ES.
Starting, shutting down, rebooting, and restarting the Fiery ES
Always use the following procedures to start, shut down, reboot, or restart the Fiery ES.
To start the Fiery ES
1 Press the power button once to start Fiery ES.
Wait until the LED display shows “00” code.

2 Power on the printer using the main power switch on the front.
3 Wait while the Fiery ES completes the startup sequence.
Note: If the Fiery ES does not start up within 20 minutes, see the Startup section of “Table 2: Causes and solutions when
printer does not print” on page 54.
To shut down the Fiery ES
1 If necessary, press the Menu button on the printer panel and select Fiery.
Important: Always verify that the Fiery ES is not in use before you power off or restart it. Make sure that the system
is not processing or printing a job. Before you take the Fiery ES off the network, always obtain permission from the
network administrator.
