2. The stage can be rotated by turning It with the stage clamping screw .
• The rotation angle changes depending on position of the stage knobs.

• Stage Height Adjustment
(Figs. 30,3 1)
By lowering the stage height. the microscope will accommodate SpeClrnens
with height up to 40 mm. This IS useful when observing metallurgical
specimens and other thICk objects.
1. Lower the stage to the lower limit. then remove the stage from the
microscope.

2. Loosen the stage bracket clamping screw <D and remove the stage
bracket.

3. Turn the coarse adjustment knob and raise the focusing block @ to
where the stopper screw
<ID in the arm becomes visibl e. (Fig. 31)
4. Us ing the Allen (h ex) driver, loosen and remove the upper stopper screw
@.
5. Reattach st age bracket and st age .
Store t he removed stopper screw <ID in a sa le place so that you do not
lose it.
