Storage and maintenance
8.1 Remaining battery power
When operating IPLEX FX with the battery, the LCD monitor displays the
remaining battery power on the top right of the screen. A guideline to remaining
battery capacity is shown as follows.
CAUTION
Do not record, copy, move, or delete images and do not format recording media if warning
number (4) shown above is displayed. If the power runs out during these operations the data
could be corrupted.
NOTE
If the battery continues to be used after the warning above (5) is displayed, the system will be
shut down automatically to protect the battery against excessive discharge.
The remaining battery power can also be checked on the [POWER INDICATOR] of the
battery itself. (However, the remaining battery power shown on the LCD monitor is different.)
Press the [CHECK] button on the battery. The green LEDs will light according to the
remaining battery power. For details, refer to the instruction manual of your battery.
Even when two of the green remaining power indicator LEDs on the battery are lit, the IPLEX
FX may shut down automatically when that battery is used. This is a measure performed by
the base unit to protect the battery against excessive discharge. It occurs more often when
the ambient temperature drops, but it is not a malfunction. If this happens, recharge the
battery before reusing it.
The remaining battery power is not displayed during the AC adapter-powered operation.
(1) Remaining battery power about 50%.
(2) Remaining battery power about 25% to 50%.
(3) Remaining battery power about 5% to 25%.
(4) Remaining battery power about 2% to 5%.
(5) Remaining battery power about 1% to 2%.
This indicator flashes.
Replace with a battery that has been charged with the charger.
