3-11 Replacing the hook
The hook is replaceable. To attach hook to the spring shaft, follow the procedure below.
For details, refer to “
Safety precautions - Hook assembly precautions -”
(page 7).
Check the screw thread at the distal end of the spring shaft.
If the end screws rattle or are misaligned, do not use the spring shaft and use a new hook
assembly instead.

While gripping A in figure below with pliers, push the hook straight over the spring shaft.

While pressing the hook straight against the spring shaft, slowly turn the hook
clockwise to screw it onto the spring shaft. The gap between the hook and butting
position should be between 0 to 0.2 mm.
