Measuring the distance to the measurement area by spot ranging
The spot ranging measures the distance between the distal end of the stereo optical adapter
and the measurement area on the live screen and the freeze screen.
While the live screen or the freeze screen is displayed, tap the [SPOT RANGING] button.
The spot ranging screen is displayed.
· The spot ranging is not available while recording the movie.
· The live image on the spot ranging screen is displayed only in the <BINOCULAR
IMAGE>.
· If the [FREEZE] button is pressed on the spot ranging screen in live view, the spot
ranging screen is frozen.
· Restriction during spot ranging
The zoom function is not available. If you tap the [ZOOM] button during the
spot ranging, the measurement position of the object distance is changed. For
details, refer to “ Measurement position of the object distance” (page82).
TIP
 Spot ranging screen
Measure the object distance at the position of the
cursor in the left image area.
The object distance indicator shows the distance
between the distal end of the stereo optical
adapter and the measurement area in nine levels.
