If your blood glucose is higher than 4.4 mmol/L after treatment, follow with your next scheduled meal or a snack. If your next meal/snack is 30 mins away, take an additional 15 grams of fast-acting carbohydrate. If your next meal/snack is 60 mins away, take an additional 30 grams of fast-acting carbohydrate.
