A-3 Parameterization by the PROFIBUS
Master Unit
The parameterisation of the passive stations by the master is first done in the start-up phase of the
PROFIBUS-DP system and is also possible in the data exchange mode. The first 10 bytes of parameter
data are defined by the PROFIBUS standard the additional 9 bytes are device specific. The format of
the parameters is depicted in the following table.
Although the Unit does not support PROFIBUS-DP/V1 functionality, the three DPV1 status bytes are
reserved in the Set_Prm message. Only the 2 indicated bits can be set by the user.
