9-3 Transferring and Comparing Settings
This section describes how to transfer and compare Slave Terminal settings that you set on the Support
Software. The Sysmac Studio is used as an example.
For Support Software other than the Sysmac Studio, refer to the operation manual for the Support Soft-
ware that you are using.
You can connect the Support Software to the USB port on the EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit to transfer the
Slave Terminal settings information to the Slave Terminal. With some Support Software, you can con-
nect through Ethernet any other method except for a USB port. Refer to the operation manual for the
Support Software for details.
Use the following procedure to transfer the settings.
1 Connect the Support Software to the peripheral USB port on the EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit and
place it online.
2 Right-click the EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit in the Edit Slave Terminal Configuration Tab Page, and
select Coupler Connection (USB)

Transfer to Coupler.
The Transfer to Coupler Dialog Box is displayed.
3 Select the data to transfer.
• To transfer the configuration information, Unit operation settings, and Unit application data,
select Configuration Information + Unit Operation Settings + Unit Application Data.
• To transfer only the configuration information, select Configuration information only.
An execution confirmation dialog box is displayed.

WARNING
Always confirm safety at the destination before you transfer the Unit configuration
information, parameters, set values, or other data from the Support Software.
The devices or machines may operate unexpectedly, regardless of the operating
mode of the Controller.
