4-3 Hardware Switch Settings
This section describes the functions of the hardware switches (i.e., the rotary switches and the DIP
switch) on the front panel of the EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit.
The two rotary switches show a two-digit hexadecimal number. The setting range is 0x00 to 0xFF with
the default setting 0x00.
Use the rotary switches to specify how to set the IP address of the EtherNet/IP Coupler Unit. The
meanings of the set values are as follows:
Refer to 9-4 Setting IP Address on page 9-31 for the IP address setting procedure.
4-3-1 Rotary Switches
Set value (hex) IP address setting method
00 Set the IP address with the Network Configurator.
01 to FE Set the IP address with the DIP switch (pin 4) and rotary switches.

Get the IP address from the BOOTP server.
