Three-point seat belts
The vehicle is equipped with three-point
seat belts with automatic retractors and
locking devices, allowing freed om of body
movement although the spring tensioned
belts are always a snug fit.

The b elts are lock ed during rap id ve hicle
acceleration or deceleration.
In the event of an accident, persons not
wearing seat belts enda nger their fellow
occupants and themselves.

Sea t belts are only desig ned for use by one
person at a time. They are not suitable for
persons younger tha n 12 years of age or
smaller than 150 cm.
Belt forc e li miters
Belt force limiters on the seats reduce the
stress on the body due to controlled release
of the belt during a collision. This m eans
that the occup ants m ove forward under
control.
Inspection of belts
Plea se check all parts of the b elt s ystem
occasionally for dama ge a nd correct
operation. Have da maged parts replaced.
After an accid ent, have belts and dep loy ed
belt tensioners replaced by a workshop.
Do not perform any altera tions on the
belts, their anchorages, the automatic
retractors or the belt buckles.
Mak e sure that belts are not da maged or
trapped by sharp-edged objec ts.
9 Warning
Always wear your sea t belt, and that
means also in urban traffic. It can save
your life!
