6.6 Disposal
NOTE!
Electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of separately from household waste.
The device contains electronic components. At the end of its lifetime, the device and its integrated batteries
should be disposed of in accordance with relevant national regulations.
DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT WITHIN THE EU:
Prepare the device for reuse or separate collection as specified by Directive 2012/19/EU of the
European Parliament and Council of the European Union on Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment
(WEEE). If this product is contaminated, this directive does not apply.
In accordance with applicable EU guidelines and national regulations at the time at which the
product was brought onto the market, the product specified on the consignment note is not to
be disposed of via the domestic waste disposal system or communal waste disposal facilities.
For further information on disposal of this product, please contact your Optomed representative.
This will guarantee that no hazardous substances enter the environment and that valuable raw
materials are recycled.
Where the product or its components are resold, the seller must inform the buyer that the
product is to be disposed of in accordance with the currently applicable national regulations.
NOTE!
Packaging materials should be retained for future relocation or repair.
If you decide to dispose of the packaging material, submit it to a recognized collection system for recycling.
6.7 Technical description

Only use the USB cable, battery and power source provided in the sales package. If you need
replacement USB cable, battery or power source, please contact the manufacturer or your local
distributor.
CAUTION!
The development, production and maintenance of this device, together with associated risks, are
based on an expected device life time of five years. Modifications to the product or failure to follow
the manufacturer’s instructions may substantially reduce the expected service life and significantly
increase the risks associated with the use of this device.
