OPERATING THE SAW
GENERAL OPERATION
WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR PROPER
GLOVES AND HEARING AND EYE
PROTECTION.
PROPER GRIP
Withthesawonarm,atsurface,
graspthefronthandlewiththeleft
hand and the rear handle with the right.
Fingersshouldwrapoverthetopof
the handle and the thumb below the
handle(Fig.12).

PROPER STANCE
Bothfeetshouldbeonsolidground,
withweightevenlyspreadbetween
them.
Leftarmshouldbestraight,withelbow
locked.Thishelpstowithstandthe
forcesgeneratedbykickback.
STOPPING THE SAW
Tostopthechainsaw,releasethetrigger
switchandthetriggerlock-out.
STARTING THE SAW
Graspthetopandrearhandlesrmly.
Pressandholdthetriggerlock-outwith
thethumb(1).Tostartthesaw,squeeze
thetriggerswitch(2)(Fig.13).Thereis
noneedtocontinuetopressthetrigger
lock-out.Itwillremaindisengageduntil
the trigger is released.

FOOTING AND HOLD THE CHAINSAW
FIRMLY WITH BOTH HANDS WHILE
THE MOTOR IS RUNNING.
Assumethepropercuttinggripand
stanceinfrontofthewoodwiththe
sawo.Pressthetriggerlock-outand
squeezethetriggerswitch.Letthe
chainreachfullspeedbeforebeginning
the cut.
Begincuttingbylightlypressingthe
guide bar against the wood. Use only
lightpressure,lettingthesawdothe
work.
Maintainasteadyspeedthroughoutthe
cut,releasingpressurejustbeforethe
endofthecut.
