POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
•Donotforcethechainsaw.Uselight
pressurewhencutting.
•Usethechainsawonlyforthepurpose
it was intended.
•Donotusethechainsawifthetrigger
switch does not turn it on and off. Any
powertoolthatcannotbecontrolled
with the trigger switch is dangerous
andmustberepaired.
•Disconnectthebatterypackfrom
thechainsawbeforemakingany
adjustments,changingaccessories,or
storingortransportingthechainsaw.
Suchpreventativesafetymeasures
reducetheriskofstartingthechainsaw
accidently.
•Donotallowpersonsunfamiliarwith
the chainsaw or these instructions to
operatethechainsaw.Chainsawsare
dangerousinthehandsofuntrained
users.
•Maintainthechainsaw.Checkfor
misalignmentorbindingofmoving
parts,breakageofpartsandany
other condition that may affect the
chainsaw’soperation.Ifdamaged,
havethechainsawrepairedbeforeuse.
Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorly
maintainedpowertools.
•Keepthesawchainsharpandclean.
Properlymaintainedcuttingtoolswith
sharpcuttingedgesarelesslikelyto
bind and are easier to control. See
SharpeningwithPowerSharp®inthis
manual.
•Usethechainsawandaccessoriesin
accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be
performed.Usinganypowertool
foroperationsdierentfromthose
intended could result in a hazardous

serviceableparts.Havethechainsaw
servicedbyaqualiedrepairperson
usingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.
Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthe
chainsaw is maintained.

STORAGE
STORING THE SAW
•Removethebatterypackand
thoroughlycleanthesaw(see
Maintenance and Cleaning in this
manual).Installthebladecoverpriorto
storing.
•Storeinadryplaceoutofreachof
childrenorpets.
•Itisnormalforasmallamountofoilto
seepfromthebarwhenthechainsaw
isnotinuse.Toprotectagainst
seepage,installthebladecoverand
placeanabsorbentpadunderthe
guide bar.
STORING THE BATTERY PACK
•Removethebatterypackfromthe
chainsaw or charger.
•Storeinacool,dryplaceoutofreach
ofchildrenandanimals.
