6. Safety elements
6.1. Interlocks
The switchgear is provided with safety locks, which ensure
the following conditions:
1. The switch-disconnector and the earthing switch
cannot both be closed at the same time.
2. The cubicles have a safety lock which prevents access
to the medium voltage cable compartment while the
earthing switch is not closed. In normal operation,
this earthing switch cannot be opened if the cable
compartment cover is not in place.
6.1.1. Locking with a padlock
Each actuating shaft can be locked with a maximum of three
standardised padlocks, with a minimum handle diameter of
7 mm and maximum of 8 mm.
