7. Maintenance
For safety reasons, maintenance operations performed
directly on the driving mechanism must be performed
WITHOUT any actuating levers inserted.
The live parts of the cgmcosmos cubicle main circuit
and switching equipment do not require inspection or
maintenance, as they are completely insulated in SF
6
and
therefore unaected by the external environment. Class
E2 electrical endurance tests mean that the breaking
components are maintenance free.
The operating mechanism for the cgmcosmos system
switching equipment does not require lubrication for
correct operation throughout its estimated lifetime,
according to the service conditions specied in IEC 62271-1.
These mechanisms must be inspected when used under
extreme conditions (dust, salt, pollution). It is advisable to
carry out at least one operation during the inspections.
Whenever the painted metallic components have scratches,
bangs or similar damage, they must be repaired in order to
prevent corrosion.
Facilities which operate under severe climate
conditions, in excess of those dened as normal
service conditions (IEC 62271-1), must carry out the
regular preventive maintenance tasks required. Check
with Ormazabal for the environmental conditions of
the installation.
7.1. Preventive maintenance of the cgmcosmos-v cubicle with RAV driving mechanism
The actuating mechanisms and other elements outside
the gas tank may require preventive maintenance; the
frequency of this maintenance depends on the existing
environmental conditions (harsh environments, dust,
extreme temperatures, etc.) and must be established in line
with the experience and responsibility of the installer.
Maintenance should be carried out every 5 years or 2000
operating cycles, unless, based on the conditions of use, the
user, together with Ormazabal, considers otherwise.
