7.14 Swivel Lock
To close the swivel lock, position the casters so they are pointing forward. Now pull the swivel
lock housing to the front until the housing encloses the cap nut (
Fig. 44).
To open the swivel lock, slide the swivel lock housing away from the wheel until the cap nut is
free. If necessary, the setting for straight-forward motion can be re-adjusted. To do this, loosen
the screw until the screw can be shifted in the slotted hole. Close the swivel lock, set the front
wheel so that it is positioned for forward motion and slightly tighten the screw using an open-end
wrench. Open the swivel lock (Fig. 45), turn the wheel to the outside and firmly tighten the screw
with two open-end wrenches.
Retrofit (only healthcare providers): Disassemble the front wheels from the forks. Unscrew the
forks.Rivet the metal sheets of the swivel lock to the forks. Remount forks and front wheels to
the Kimba Spring.

7.15 Rain Cape (Fig. 46)
With the zipper open pull the hood over the child’s head, then unfold the upper brim over the
backrest and the lower brim around the footrest.
7.16 Slipsacks (Fig. 47)
Place the summer, winter or sheepskin slipsack in the Kimba Spring. Tie the straps to the lower
back section and tie the upper straps to the frame of the back insert. If using an abductor or
belts, make a cut in the corresponding synthetic leather strips using a sharp blade. Zippers al-
low the upper part of the slipsack to be opened or removed.
