4.3 Tilt-limiting Mechanism
Kimba Spring is provided with an additional safety feature in the form of tilt-limiting mechanism
(Fig. 16) as a standard.

To adjust the seat tilt limits, pull the key ring (1) and move the limiting plate (2) to the desired
position (3) depending on the seat direction. After adjusting, the key ring pin must be engaged
completely. Check the function of the tilt-limiting mechanism by tilting the seat with unlocked tilt-
adjuster forwards and backwards up to the stop. The seat tilt range may only be adjusted up to
the maximum of 10° to the prone position and 40° to the reclined position. If it is not the case,
then bring the limiting plate (2) to another position. Make sure that the pin properly engages.
5 Outdoor Mobility Bases
Various sizes and versions of outdoor mobility bases are available to accommodate the multi-
functional seating units. Please pay attention to the particularities of the following functions:
a) Folding: Inline 32551000 Model
For transport, the pushbar (Fig. 17, item A) can be folded to the front (Fig. 18) after pulling the
locking slides (Fig. 17, item C). For folding all other models, please refer to section „Unpacking
and Setting up“.
b) Seat inclination: Inline 32551000 Model
The angle of the seat support fixtures can be adjusted after releasing the clamping levers
(Fig. 17, item D). For setting seat inclination with all other models, please refer to section „Un-
packing and Setting up“.
Note:
Be sure the front wheels are not restricted in their freedom of motion due to any seat
adjustments (seat depth/footrest height/knee angle). Change the seat inclination if
necessary.
