3 Upacking and Setting up
Attention!
Damage caused by objects lying upon the appliance. If appliances are transported in
the folded state, the weight of objects lying upon the appliance can cause deforma-
tions and result in problems when unfolding the appliance. Never put heavy objects
on a folded rehabilitation device.
The original package contains the following components:
Outdoor mobility base, folded
Multi-functional seating unit
Back insert
Padding for seat, back, hip supports and lateral supports
Storage bag
Instructions for use and tools required
Roll loops with attachment material
Accessories as ordered
To unfold the Kimba Spring please proceed as follows:
Danger!
The complete system of the seat tilt adjustment consisting of release lever, cable with
setting screw and locking mechanism may be set only by authorized persons (spe-
cialist dealer). Otherwise there is the danger of unintentional release or of complete
failure of the seat tilt mechanism.
Information!
Carefully remove the transport safety snaps and packaging material.
Using the black grip (Fig. 1, item A) of the pushbar, lift the outdoor mobility base to unfold it until
you can set the buggy on its wheels. The folding guard (Fig. 2, item A) closes automatically when
the pushbar is pushed back.

Check the folding guards and engage them if necessary.
Information!
To fold the Kimba Spring, please proceed as follows: Pull both grips (Fig. 2, item A)
to release the folding guards. Press the pushbar (Fig. 1, item A) forward, and the
Kimba Spring will fold.
To avoid the damage of sun/rain canopy, remove the sun or rain canopy before
folding.
Place the seating unit on the mobility base (please refer to section „Removing the Seating Unit
from and Mounting it to the Mobility Base“).
