pressed during menu play of Video CDs with playback controi, a
menu screen may sometimes be recalled.

e The disc is advanced (reversed) by one frame each time the cursor
buttons [<, >] are pressed.
eWhen the cursor buttons [<, >] are kept pressed, consecutive
frame advance (reverse) works.
To return to normal play
Press { PLAY].
For Video CDs, frame reverse is not possible.

e Pressing [II PAUSE] also activates frame advance.
eWhether the pictures are advanced by a “Frame” or “Field” is
automatic, but you can change the initial settings to choose how the
picture is advanced (= “1 Still Mode” in “9 Other Settings”,
page 34).
