A Slow-motion play -
Press [<<4, >> SLOW/SEARCH] while
paused (@ page 17).
e Each press increases the speed of slow-motion.
On the main unit
Press and hold [44 /<<4, >> / >P] while
paused (= page 17).
eThe speed of slow-motion increases if you press and hold the
button.
There are five speeds of slow-motion.
To return to normal play
Press [> PLAY].
eFor Video CDs, slow-motion play in reverse direction is not pos-
sible.
For your reference
eWhen [<<4, > SLOW/SEARCH] or [ Hd /<d<d, >> / PPI} on the
main unit is pressed during menu play of Video CDs with playback
control, a menu screen may sometimes be recalled.
B -Rapid advance (Rapid reverse)
Press [<4<4, P> SLOW/SEARCH] during
play.
e Each press increases the speed of the search.
On the main unit
Press and hold [44/<<, >> / PP] dur-
ing play.
The speed of the search increases if you press and hold the button.
There are five speeds of advance (reverse).
To return to normal play
Press [> PLAY].
You can search forward and backward only within the disc currently
in play.
For your reference
@When (<4, P> SLOW/SEARCH] or [<0 /<4<4, > / PPI] on the
main unit is pressed during menu play of Video CDs with playback
control, a menu screen may sometimes be recalled.
For DVDs and Video CDs, audio will be heard during searching (for-
ward direction only) at the initial search speed (To turn audio off,
= “2 Audio during Search” in “9 Other Settings”, page 34).
