Confirm the following before starting troubleshooting.
Is the recording paper installed properly?
There is the receiving problem when sometimes the below errors maybe occurred.
OUT OF PAPER
CHECK COVER
Unit OVERHEATED (If it doesn’t return automatically, COVER OPEN, etc., reset the unit.)
CHECK DOCUMENT
PAPER JAMMED
Please refer to "2. User Recoverable Errors" (page 23) for the above items.
Also, when a hardware deformity occurs, please check each sensor.
RX problem
Can something be RX?
Are there many errors on the
image?
Increase the "595: RX error
limit value" to some value.
Change the "718:Receive
speed select" to 7200, 4800
or 2400bps.
Ask the sender to:
Increase the "596:Transmit
level set".
Is the FAX ring count (#07) 2,3 or 4?
Change the FAX ring count to 1.
Increase the "593: Time between
CED & 300 bps" to some
value.
Error code No. 68 (Echo)?
Decrease the "596:Transmit
level set" from -10 dBm to -
12 dBm or some value.
Change the "718:Receive speed
select" to 7200, 4800 or 2400bps.
Ask the sender to:
Increase the TX level.
Change the TX equalizer.
3 Receive problem
