What to do if IP-PTs/SIP Extensions do not operate on my Panasonic Telephone?
- EElizabeth LopezAug 26, 2025
If your IP-PTs/SIP Extensions are not operating on your Panasonic Telephone, ensure all network devices are switched on and that the IP-PT/SIP Extension is not blocked by the firewall or other network devices. Verify that an 8-pin twisted pair cable is used for the connection and that none of the CAT 5 cables are over 100 m in length; use a straight cable for connection to a switching hub. Also, register the corresponding IP-PT/SIP Extension. If the problem continues, the DSP or IPCMPR card may be malfunctioning and require replacement. It may also be necessary to purchase additional activation keys. If all else fails, the IP-PT/SIP Extension itself may be malfunctioning and need replacement.
