Troubleshooting
First, try out the following procedures.
• Further information is provided in the “Owner’s Manual for advanced features (PDF
format)”. Check it together with the information in this section.
• When the ambient temperature is high or continuous recording is performed, the
camera’s temperature will rise. After [ ] is displayed, recording may stop or the
functions below may be temporarily disabled to protect the camera. Wait until the
camera cools down.
– 4K Photo
– Post Focus
– Motion picture recording
• Charging is being performed in a place with extremely high or low temperature.
> Reconnect the USB connection cable (supplied) and retry charging in a place where
ambient temperature is 10 °C to 30 °C (50 oF to 86 oF) (temperature conditions also
apply to the battery itself).
• Charging is not possible if the power supply capacity of the computer is low.
• The battery is exhausted.
> Charge the battery. (P19)
• When [ ] ([4K Pre-Burst]) has been selected, the battery drains faster.
> Use these functions only when recording with them.
If the problem is not resolved, it may be improved by selecting [Reset] on
the [Setup] menu.
Recording stops before finishing. Cannot record. Cannot use some
functions.
The charging lamp blinks.
The camera cannot be operated even when it is turned on.
The camera turns off immediately after it is turned on.
The battery becomes flat too quickly.
