Connecting to a
PC

AC
adaptor (DMW-AC6PP: optional)
® DC coupler (DMW-DCC2: optional)
• Use batteries with sufficient battery
power or the AC adaptor
® and the
DC coupler
®.
• By connecting the camera to a computer,
you can upload your pictures, then
use the software
on
the included CD-
ROM ([PHOTOfunSTUDIO-viewer-] for
Windows®)·to print or send your images
bye-mail.
•
If
you use Windows 98/98SE, install
the USB
driver
and then connect the
camera
to
the computer.
• For details, refer to the operating
instructions (PDF file) of the software.
1 Turn
on
the
camera and the PC.
2 Connect the camera
to
a
PC
via
the USB
connection
cable ©
(supplied).
• The screen
to
select [PictBridge (PTP)]
or [PC] is displayed.
• If [USB MODE]
in
setup menu
is
set to
other than [SELECT
ON
CONNECTION],
the screen
is
not displayed (P23).

• Make sure the camera
is
off before
connecting or disconnecting the
AC
adaptor.

• Connect the USB connection cable
with the [

mark facing the
[~]
mark on the [DIGITAL] socket.
® This message appears during data
transfer.
CD
Check the facing of the connector and
push straight in.
• Hold
CD
and then insert or pull the USB
connection cable straight. Do not try
to force the connector in backwards or
sideways. This can damage this unit and
the equipment you are connecting.
3 Select [PC]
using
T and press
[MENU/SET].
[Windows]
The drive appears
on
the [My Computer]
folder.
• If it
is
the first time you are connecting
the camera to a
PC,
the required driver
is
installed automatically so that the camera
can be recognized by the Windows Plug
and Play, then it appears on the [My
Computer] folder.
[Macintosh]
The drive is displayed on the screen.
•
The
drive
is
displayed
as
[LUMIX]
when
you
connect
the
camera
with
no
card
inserted.
• The drive
is
displayed as [NO_NAME] or
[Untitled] when you connect the camera
with a card inserted.
