sensitivity

ISO MAX400 [MAX] shows the maximum
level of ISO sensitivity.
ISO MAX800
The ISO sensitivity
ISO MAX1600
automatically increases up
to the set value.

The camera detects
the
movement of the
subject and then sets the optimal
ISO
sensitivity and shutter speed according
to
the
movement
and
the brightness of the subject.
The settings listed below indicates the
selectable highest
ISO
sensitivity.
[fJISO]
displays when you press the shutter
button halfway. If you press it fully, the
shutter speed and ISO sensitivity will be
displayed.
Jitter
is
avoided
when
taking pictures indoors
of a moving subject
by
increasing
the
ISO
sensitivity
and
making
the
shutter
speed
faster. (However, picture noise
will
increase.)
Noise is avoided when taking pictures
indoors
of
a subject with no movement by
decreasing the ISO sensitivity.

Depending on the brightness and how
fast the subject is moving, jitter may not
be avoided.
- When the moving subject is small
- When the moving subject is at the edge
of the screen
- When the subject starts moving the
instant the shutter button
is
pressed fully
If picture noise becomes a problem, we
recommend setting the maximum ISO
sensitivity to low level, setting the [NOISE
REDUCTION] of [PICT.ADJ.] to high
level, or setting each of the items other
than [NOISE REDUCTION] to low level.
The digital zoom cannot be used.
Select
to
take pictures with the same
3:2 aspect ratio
as
35
mm
film.
This
is
suitable for landscapes etc.
where a wide view is preferable.
This is also suitable for playing
back pictures on a wide-screen
TV, high-definition TV etc.
